Clear Dollar Stamps Blog Hop ~ I {heart} you!
It's that time again! We are hopping with Clear Dollar Stamps! If you have come to me from the lovely Linda's blog then you are in the right place. If you are just joining in now, please start back at the Clear Dollar Stamps blog to start the hop.
The theme of our blog hop today is I {heart} you. I was in the dollar store this week and the Valentine's things are already out and ready to be purchased. I even saw Easter candy there, believe it or not. Woah, Nelly! Slow down! It is only January! Still, love is in the air. At least in our house, it is! Every year I give my husband 14 cards, one for every day of February leading up to Valentine's day. I am looking forward to doing this again this year, and I have been busily making some cards for him. Here are two that I have made that are for my sweetie.
This first one features an oldie but goodie from the CDS store called Cup of Cocoa. I added in a sentiment from the Sweet & Spicy set as well. One of the reasons I love this set for a Valentine's card, even though it is out of the normal realm of lovey dovey things is because it reminds me of one of the things I love about my husband. He's always willing to make me up a nice hot cup of tea or mug of hot chocolate or something warm and delicious. And then we will sit there, quietly drinking our drinks together (*ha! not always with two little boys running around). When we do get a few moments peace, it is nice to sit together and just be. It really does warm my heart!

The second card that I made to share with you today is a sneak peek from a set that will be released on Tuesday, January 17th. Normally our digital releases come out on the 15th but since we're having the blog hop today, we are postponing it a few days. I thought it would be fun to preview one of the new sets to get you all excited. It's called We Go Together. How cute is this? My hubby is going to get a good laugh out of this one. ESPECIALLY since I am a vegetarian! But it is so cute, I could not resist making something with this.

So, don't forget to come back on Tuesday to see what else I have whipped up with the new releases. There are tons of good ones this month, as always! If you are ready to hop off to the next blog, you're going to want to go and see Shell! But before you leave, please leave me a comment. I love to hear from you, and of course, you might just win a prize (and what better timing to win a gift certificate to win some digital stamps with the digital release in just a few days!)
Thanks for hopping along with me today!

ReplyDeleteCute burger and fries, card, too!!
The cards are lovely! However, I love the idea behind the cards. It is a great way to keep the love alive between you and your husband!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet idea that you give your hubby 14 cards!! Love both of these. He will get a kick out of the second one! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sarah
Love the idea to give your husband 14 cards leading up to Valentine's Day - and the two cards you shared today are just lovely! Love the burger and fries - they do go together perfectly! What's even more important is the idea behind the cards - something to treasure forever.
ReplyDeleteOH I think the bottom one is perfect for a vegetarian because you get the fries while he gets the burger...that's how it works right?!??
ReplyDeleteI love love the hot cocoa card. What a great card to leave by hubby's coffee in the morning for a "just because" card to remind him how much you love him. I know I tend to assume he knows and forget to do the little things.
Oh my gosh, both of these set are so much fun, and you did such a great job with your design, coloring and wonderful mix of colors and elements.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be a yummy bean burger in your case but it is still a cute card.
ReplyDeleteI love this...
ReplyDeleteThose are both so adorable! I'm grinning at the burger one hehe :D
ReplyDeleteboth cards are very gorgeous! great coloring on the images. I'm loving that burger. :D
