All About Me

Today I am excited to introduce to you the first ever All About Me challenge from A PILE OF SCRAP! The idea for the challenge stemmed from a class held this spring. Not many of us scrappers spend time creating an album about ourselves. We need to let those we leave behind know what our lives were like. What were we all about? It is a challenge, and we can do it! We deserve it!

So I was priviledged to be able to issue the first challenge - create a layout based on your favourite musical artist or group. Most, if not all of us, listen to music on a daily basis. It inspires us, improves us, and really does have a pretty large impact on the way we shape our lives. So I thought that this would be an appropriate challenge. There are so many diverse areas of music, and everyone has different tastes, so there are so many amazing styles that this challenge could take on. I'm excited to see them!

This is my example. I had a lot of fun putting this together! My favourite band is Kutless - maybe not what you'd expect from me, but I love them! My journaling is simple, and it says, "I've always liked my music loud - I love that Kutless is pure LOUD ROCK with message and passion of turning hearts to Christ." Pretty much why I love them in one sentence. I was inspired by the ribbon - when I first saw it I thought it looked like totally girly punk rock. So I created the layout around the ribbon and had a great time playing with Riff Raff, Smooch, Glossy Accents - oh my!
