Love at First Bite

No, this is not a post about Twilight. But it is Monday, and today is a new day! Also a new challenge at Karen's Doodles challenge blog. This time around we are making Easter themed cards using pastel colours. I am not really a fan of the whole easter bunny thing, but I thought this one was cute! It is called Love at First Bite (hence the title of this post).

Photobucket

I am entering this card into the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge to use a digital stamp and the Stamp Man challenge to use Easter colours.

It really makes me smile, I must admit! The rest of the design team has used some amazing Easter images to make their cards. You are not going to be disappointed, so go on over and check out the challenge blog!

A Night at the Oscars!

It's Friday! That means it is time for another challenge at Jellypark. This week our challenge theme is A Night at the Oscars. I don't usually watch any of those awards shows, but I do like to see the photos of the celebrities all dressed up the following day.

For this challenge, I knew I had to use the ever adorable Girl Dressing Up digital stamp. I think it is so cute! I used to love playing dress up as a child. I remember my cousins and I trying on hats, skirts and shoes that were far too big for us, and thinking that we looked beautiful. Those were some fun times!

Photobucket

I love movies that have major makeovers in them. It's so fun to see what they looked like before and after. Like Princess Diaries and Miss Congeniality. I made this card while thinking of these two movies. In the Princess Diaries, Mia was so hilarious when she was first dressed up and didn't have the behaviour to go along with it. And in Miss Congeniality, she looked great but she couldn't always pull it off (like the time she fell on stage!) Kinda like clomping around in shoes that were too big! I had fun with this challenge!

Don't forget to check out the challenge blog for the rest of the design team's challenge entries, as well as some new releases you are going to love! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Clear Dollar Stamps Blog Hop ~ Red, White and Black!

What's black, white and red all over? The Clear Dollar Stamps blog hop today! Okay, I am so not a joker. I can never tell a joke right. Let's just stick to cards! If you are just joining me know, you will want to start the hop at the Clear Dollar Stamps blog. If you are coming to me from the lovely Kathy, then you are in the right place!

Well, February is love month. We had a fabulous Valentine's day here on Tuesday. I was totally spoiled by my hubby and children. My beautiful roses are still blooming and so pretty - it brings me cheer on this blustery Sunday! One of the things I like sharing about Valentine's day is that we can have love and experience love because Christ loved us first. That's what inspired me to make and share this card today.

Photobucket

I used the new set Love Scriptures to make this card. It really says it all, doesn't it? I am praying that on this Sunday, you will experience the love of Christ, that is really like no other. No matter what you have done in the past or how terrible you think you are, He loves you. His love is for everyone!

Now if you are ready to hop on to the next blog, you are going to want to visit Jennifer. She's new to our team this month and she is just wonderful. Before you leave, please leave me a comment for a chance to win an incredible prize!

Thanks for hopping by my blog today!

Sketches by Carly

It's a nice mild winter day here today, which is nice for a change. I did the walk to school twice today since my son needed a second pair of boots - and I couldn't complain because the weather was so nice! It is often not very mild in February! Today is a new Sketches by Carly challenge and I can't wait to show you the new sketch. Carly makes some awesome sketches, doesn't she?

I thought the sketch was awesome just the way it was, but no matter what I did I could not cut my triangles properly! So I swapped them out with some ribbon. I did the same for the circles at the bottom. I am cutting challenged or something...but I did cut out the panda and he turned out pretty cute!

Photobucket

I am entering this card into the Digital Tuesday challenge to use your stash. I have had this ribbon in the drawer for some time and never used it! I am also entering it into the Craft Us Crazy challenge to use your favourite embellishment and the ABC challenge to jazz it up using my favourite bling. LOVE my sprinkles!

Don't forget to visit the Sketches by Carly blog to see what the rest of the amazing design team did with this sketch and to enter a card of your own. This week we are being sponsored by the Paper Shelter, which is a great company and they are offering a great prize. Hop on over to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate!

It is one very chilly morning here in Eastern Canada today. Wowzas! As soon as you step outside you can hardly breathe. Let me tell you, once my son was dropped off at school I pretty much ran home and jumped under a blanket and didn't come out for a solid hour! So I am a little late posting my card this morning, but at least I am toasty warm again.

Today's challenge over on the Karen's Doodles challenge blog is to create a card that is a celebration card! I thought this little guy was pretty fun and exciting so I used Bigsby Celebration on my card today. He is pretty happy looking, isn't he?

Photobucket

It is cold here in my craft room so I am going to go back to my blanket on the couch and snuggle up with my youngest son who is like a little ball of fire, he is so warm. He will keep me warm and I love snuggling with him anyway!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Only One For Me

There are only a few days left before Valentine's Day and I have been busy making cards to sell to raise money for a missions trip to Cameroon, Africa. I am hoping in the next few days that a lot of desperate men will be calling me to get something for their wives! I think I have made all the cards I am going to make for Valentine's day this year, but I wanted to share the last one that I made. It makes me smile!

Photobucket

I can't wait for the day when my husband and I can snuggle up on the couch like this and reminisce about all the years we have been snuggling up on our couch together. He really IS the only one for me. I think this image is just adorable. It's called Nan and Grandad on Sofa by Jellypark - I just love it! How sweet!

I made this card for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge today to make Miesje smile. I really hope this does, because it certainly does it for me!
